Video for Photographers Workshop
April 21st and 22nd
Bliss Studios, Denver, CO
Ready to elevate your photography and camera skills to the next level? Fascinated by video and want to add a new layer to your business? The Video for Photographer's Workshop will teach you the basic video skills you need to start incorporating video into your business. This two day workshop will leave you with the knowledge of the different camera settings and how they effect your video, stabilization and shooting techniques, and how to edit video to create a seamless film.
About the Workshop
The Workshop will be separated into two, 4 hour days to allow participants to absorb all the material. The first day will focus on camera set up, shooting and stabilization techniques, and a guided shoot out with models. The second day will focus on editing and creating a seamless flow of your video. You will leave with a 30 second edited video and the skills to start shooting and offering video right away!
Kelsey has been creating magic with her wedding films for nearly 5 years, but has been studying to art of filmmaking for far longer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Motion Picture Video Television from Montana State University, and spent 5 years working in the industry before branching out on her own. She has a passion for teaching having spent over 10 years as a coach for children in gymnastics and dance, and now as a fitness instructor for adults. Kelsey believes that video is so powerful and can help not only tell the story of your clients, but can help grow and elevate your business.

Where is the Workshop?
The workshop will be held at Bliss Studios - 3833 Steele St E, Denver, CO 80205. It's located on the south-most side of the complex. Parking is plentiful and free!
What time is the Workshop?
The workshop will run from 12-4 on each day.
What do I need to bring?
On Saturday you will need your camera and some sort of stabilizer if you have one. On Sunday, you will need your laptop or desktop pre loaded with Premiere and your footage from the previous day loaded onto your computer. I will be providing some water and snacks, but should you like something else, please bring it along! *We will have a limited amount of space for desktops.
Are you limiting the amount of participants?
Yes! I'd like to keep things small and intimate to make sure that everyone walks away with the knowledge they need. For that reason I'm limiting the workshop to 10 participants.
What types of models will be there?
I'm planning on having 3 sets of models. Right now I plan on having a bride and groom, a couple, and possibly a mother/child or senior girl. The model lineup is subject to change up to the workshop.
Does it matter what camera I have?
Nope! As long as your camera has video capabilities you are good to go! We will be focusing on shooting with a DSLR however. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! email@example.com
Premiere is one of the leading industry standards in video editing. Another option is Final Cut Pro X, but we do not have time within the constraints of the workshop to explore both.
Do I need to buy Premiere or upgrade my Adobe membership?
If you plan on doing video in the future, a professional editing program will be a necessity, but for the workshop a free trial of Premiere will suffice.
I have no idea what I'm doing...
Thats ok! I'll be walking your though every aspect of video from setting up your camera to exporting from Premiere. As long as you have an understanding of shooting in manual and the exposure triangle, you will be good!
How do I pay?
Payment can be collected electronically through PayPal, Venmo, or Zelle. I will send a request or link when you sign up!
Feel free to email me with any other questions regarding the workshop! firstname.lastname@example.org
